On September 21, the Shipwreck & Lifesaving Museum will participate in the "Smithsonian" magazine's 15th annual Museum Day from 10am to 5pm.
The Museum will debut never before seen documents from the collection: a selection of Assistance Rendered Reports from the U.S. Coast Guard’s Madaket Lifesaving Station. The reports will be read and narrated by a Museum guide at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. Additionally, the day’s offerings will include activities for young visitors with two new children’s games recently introduced at the Museum.
This event is FREE to all. You must download a ticket from Egan Maritime's Shipwreck & Lifesaving Museum profile on the Smithsonian's website in order to receive free admission on September 21. The ticket is good for two visitors.
