We are so grateful to everyone who joined us at the LARGEST event in Egan Maritime Institute's history. As an organization, we work daily to promote and preserve Nantucket’s maritime traditions. We strive to ensure that our Island’s culture and community continue to be shaped by its seafaring legacy.
Over the past year, we have worked to increase our impact on the Island community.
Here are just a few numbers to highlight our community impact this past year:
- 37 students took part in our first two STEM-focused high school-level courses
- 52 Nantucket Boys and Girls Club members joined us for Saturday fun at the Museum all winter.
- 62 Island Seniors joined us for the "Where it Happened" van tours and specialized museum tours - teaching us more than we could ever teach them.
- 325 Nantucket students sailed aboard the Tall Ship Lynx this June to learn about traditional tall ship sailing and Nantucket’s Maritime History.
- And countless school groups, camps, and organizations have joined us at the museum for tours by our knowledgeable staff.
