Hosted by Bonnie Levison, co-founder of the Nantucket Comedy Festival, Making Waves featured sharks, songs and a special drink.
Special guests were Dr. Greg Skomal, Cape Cod’s foremost expert on Great White Sharks, and Paul Gasek, two-time Emmy Award winner as Executive Producer of Deadliest Catch and Shark Week. They had a lively presentation and discussion about the state of the Great White Sharks in the waters surrounding the Cape and Islands.
The event also included music from Nantucket’s own Sue Berman and Ray Saunders. Also, Phaedra and Chloe Plank, recent graduates of Nantucket HS and Egan’s Sea of Opportunities programs, were interviewed regarding their involvement in the programs and their experience on our Tall Ship Lynx.
And all throughout viewers enjoyed “Maritime on the Rocks” a special drink created exclusively for the event by Triple Eight Distillery.
