Meet Egan's 2025 Seasonal Staff

Summer is here, and with it comes a fresh wave of energy, enthusiasm, and new faces at Egan Maritime! Each year, our seasonal staff bring their unique talents, diverse backgrounds, and shared passion to help us deliver unforgettable experiences for our community and visitors alike.

This year's team is no exception. From returning favorites to first-time crew members, we’re excited to introduce the individuals who will be helping us [verb—e.g., set sail, welcome guests, share stories, keep things running smoothly] throughout the entire season.

Jordan Bond, Senior Interpreter

Now in his fourth year at the Shipwreck & Lifesaving Museum, Jordan Bond brings deep enthusiasm for history and a strong command of Nantucket’s shipwreck and lifesaving stories. During the school year, he works as a Teaching Assistant at Nantucket High School.

Jeannie

Jeannie Critchley, Front Desk & Retail Coordinator

A longtime Nantucket resident, Jeannie Critchley brings a wealth of local knowledge—and stories about the island and its characters—to her first season at the museum desk. Jeannie is now retired, having taught at Nantucket Elementary School for 33 years. She holds a M.Ed from Lesley University.

Annie DePriest, Special Event and Program Intern.

Annie DePriest is from Winchester, Massachusetts and is a rising senior at College of the Holy Cross studying Environmental Studies and Political Science.

This summer she is working as the Special Events and Programs Intern with Egan. Annie is very involved in the maritime community of Nantucket, as she grew up sailing at Nantucket Community Sailing and has been an instructor for six summers. In her free time, you can catch her taking long walks, reading, or going for a swim off Coatue. She is extremely thrilled to be a part of the Egan team this summer!

Keely Farrell, Museum Interpreter

Keely Farrell joins the museum for her first season as a Museum Guide. She is passionate about uncovering and sharing lesser-known histories, and recently earned an M.Phil. in Public History and Cultural Heritage from Trinity College Dublin.

Nicole Gottlieb: Education Assistant

Nicole is a Nantucket Native and a seasoned educator; during the school year, Nicole teaches at Bishop Mackenzie International School in Malawi. We are lucky to have Nicole on our team this summer.

Charlotte O'Connor, Experiential Educator & Museum Program Assistant:

Charlotte O'Connor is a recent graduate of the University of Edinburgh, where she earned a B.A. in Art History with a minor in the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage. She previously completed internships at both the Hyde Collection in New York and the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., where she contributed to enhancing public programming.

Daniella Wilson: Front Desk & Retail Coordinator

Daniella Wilson is one of the first faces you'll see when you visit the museum. Whether she’s offering a museum introduction, answering phones, or helping you choose the perfect gift shop swag, Daniella does it all with a smile. Outside the museum, she’s a dedicated team member at Nantucket Cottage Hospital.

Cecilia Wendelken, Education & Tall Ship Lynx Intern

Cecilia Wendelken is a Nantucket High School graduate who spent her senior year participating in the Egan Maritime Institute’s School-to-Career internship program, where she had the opportunity to shadow and work in a variety of Nantucket waterfront careers. This summer marks Cecilia's second season working aboard the Lynx. In the fall, she will begin her freshman year at Maine Maritime Academy, where she plans to study Marine Biology and Small Vessel Operations.

Shipwreck Shuttle At Visitor Services

Dennis Santangelo & Jay Detmer, Shipwreck Shuttle Drivers

Jay and Dennis are the friendly faces behind the wheel of our Shipwreck Shuttle, getting you to the museum with ease. They’re returning drivers who enjoy meeting visitors and making the ride part of the fun. They are experts at navigating the Nantucket traffic and the local radio waves.
