On Friday, May 26, at 5:30pm Egan Maritime welcomed its members to celebrate the opening of the museum and the new special exhibition, Wrecks & Relics, Discoveries from the Sea. The exhibit features stories, photos, and relics from local Cape and Islands shipwrecks while giving visitors an enchanting experience of being underwater. Shipwrecks featured include the Argo Merchant, the Andrea Doria, the Nantucket Lightship, the Whydah, and more. Child-sized play diving gear and a replica shipwreck in the exhibit room complete the experience for young visitors who can explore the shipwreck and discover their own treasures.
