There is a new film in the Gund Program Gallery at the Nantucket Shipwreck & Lifesaving Museum: the Sea of Opportunities short. Charged with telling the story of Egan Maritime's Student Mariners (island youth who have participated in overnight or week-long Tall Ship sails), this compelling eight minute piece combines interviews with students, leaders, and crew members to illustrate the compelling and life changing experiences Student Mariners have. This film allowed Student Mariners to share their voice and their story with Egan's leaders and patrons who so generously make these sails possible.
Of most importance, this short film is a vital way for you, our members and friends, to understand the scope and importance of your participation with Egan Maritime. Thank you for coming aboard and joining the adventure. Without you, Sea of Opportunities would not have been possible. A very special thanks to Ritchie, Katie and Westray Battle who so generously supported the production of the film.
