On September 11, 2019, Egan Maritime Institute, in partnership with Nantucket Cottage Hospital, honored two members of the Nantucket community with the Maurice E. Gibbs Commendation Award.
On August 7, Egan Maritime's Sea of Opportunities Benefit Luncheon honored Sheila Lucey, Nantucket's Harbor Master, and toasted its founding trustees with special remarks by Nat Philbrick.
Patrons enjoyed a sunset sail with island musician Susan Berman and her partner, Ray Saunders, on the enchanting decks of Nantucket's Tall Ship "Lynx," in support of Egan Maritime's education efforts.
In collaboration with Waypoint Marine, Egan Maritime is delighted to offer a historic harbor cruise in July & August this summer. Come aboard and dive into Nantucket's wharves and working waterfront.
On Tuesday, June 25, Egan Maritime members sailed aboard historic Tall Ship Lynx and heard the complete story of wreck and rescue of the ill-fated "British Queen."
