Located off the coast of Nantucket, the Andrea Doria is often called the “Mount Everest of Scuba Diving” — one of the most dangerous and challenging technical dive sites in the world. Join us for a thought-provoking presentation on the wreck today with Jennifer Sellitti and Mike Dudas of Atlantic Wreck Salvage. Learn from Jennifer Sellitti about the history of the Andrea Doria and what it takes to captain the expedition vessel D/V Tenacious and hear Mike Dudas’ firsthand account of diving to the wreck site and artifact recovery.

Atlantic Wreck Salvage, led by Jennifer Sellitti and founded by her late partner Joe Mazraani, is a New Jersey-based company conducting operations in the North Atlantic. AWS is dedicated to shipwreck exploration, maritime salvage, historical preservation, and maritime education.

Registration is required. This program is free for members. Non-members pay regular museum admission, ranging from $7 - $15.

About Jennifer Sellitti
Jennifer Sellitti is the Managing Member of Atlantic Wreck Salvage (AWS) and captain of the dive vessel Tenacious. A diver and U.S. Coast Guard–licensed captain, she leads expeditions, oversees historical research and sonar operations, and helps advance public understanding of shipwreck discovery and responsible salvage. Jennifer has participated in the discovery of several previously undocumented wrecks, including the 1855 French passenger steamship SS Le Lyonnais, the WWI-era trawler ST Seiner, the SS West Point, and the bow of MV Stockholm, the vessel that collided with the Andrea Doria. She has also provided support on expeditions to renowned deep-water wrecks including HMHS Britannic and RMS Lusitania.

Jennifer is the author of The Adriatic Affair: A Maritime Hit-and-Run Off the Coast of Nantucket (2025), which chronicles the loss of Le Lyonnais and the 2024 discovery of its wreck site by Tenacious. She is also an associate member of the Boston Sea Rovers, a trustee of the New Jersey Maritime Museum, and practices criminal defense law when ashore.

About Mike Dudas
Mike Dudas is a prolific second-generation diver who began diving at age 14. He has explored the wreck of the Andrea Doria numerous times since 1998, in addition to wreck sites around the world, including East Coast ventures and international dives in Thailand and New Zealand. He is a member of the Boston Sea Rovers.
